Q. How long will it take to receive my artwork?
A. In most cases, for an order consisting of one standard image, artwork will be completed and shipped in about 3 weeks. The time varies depending on the amount of current orders, but it shouldn't be longer than 3 weeks. With orders that are for much larger image sizes you might plan for it to take an additional week, or for orders of multiple images. Certainly if you are working with a deadline, let me know and I'll decide if we can make arrangements. I try to be as accomodating as possible.

Q. What is included in a standard caricature?
A. A standard caricature is 11"x14" in size and includes an illustration of one person, head and body. If you'd like, a specific costume, uniform or other significant clothing can be traded for their normal clothing at no charge.

Q. What is included in a standard portrait?
A. A standard portrait is 11"x14" in size and includes an illustration of one person, head and shoulders. A plain pattern or color background will be included unless you specify otherwise.

Q. What is the order process?
A. To order a custom caricature or portrait, first find the artwork style that you wish to have your art created in. Next, add the specific item in that style you'd like to your cart by clicking the corresponding button. Then proceed through the checkout/payment process. Following checkout, you will be directed to an upload form where you will provide reference photos and details needed to complete your caricature or portrait. That's it!

Q. Will I see my art before it's shipped?
A. Generally, the artwork is created in the style you choose and then a link to a preview page will be emailed to you in order for you to view the image before it is shipped. This gives you the opportunity to decide if changes need to be made. In artwork such as a group caricature involving several subjects pictured in a specified environment or scenario, a rough sketch will be done to establish the composition and this will initially be sent to you before final artwork is begun. Upon your approval, I will continue with the final art.

Q. Do you accept credit cards?
A. I do accept credit cards. This is the preferred method of payment. Credit card processing is securely processed through PayPal.

Q. Can I mail my order materials and payment?
A. If you prefer, you can mail your photo reference and payment by postal service. Please be sure to include the shipping fee in your total payment and send to the address under the "contact" tab.

Q. How should I send photo reference to you?
A. After processing payment, you will be directed to an upload form that you may use to send photos. If you prefer to, or in the event that you are sending a large number of photos, they can be emailed directly to me using the email address found under the "contact" tab.

Q. How many photos should I send?
A. You should send at least one good quality photo of each individual in your caricature or portrait. Also include photos of any specific props or background location that are personal in nature and not commonly available. If you'd like, you are encouraged to send 2-3 images of your main subject(s) as this will help me to get a more accurate impression of the person and help ensure the closest likeness of them.

Q. Do you do caricatures of groups of people?
A. Certainly, you can have a caricature created of a group of people. Group caricatures can be done in any of the artwork styles, even though you may not see large groups listed under all of them. I do have group caricature special pricing for the colored pencil style, which is the most popular. You can find those prices here. For groups larger than 4 subjects in other styles, just contact me for pricing.

Q. Do you do caricatures of animals?
A. Yes, I can provide caricatures of animals. I have done some in the past and will have samples added to the gallery shortly.

Q. Can I get a caricature of my car?
A. Yes, I can provide caricatures of cars or other vehicles. I have done some in the past and will have samples added to the gallery shortly.

Q. If I order a caricature, can I have it sent digitally?
A. Yes, your caricature can be sent in a high resolution file to you by email. There will be no extra charge for this, just let me know at the time you approve your final art for shipping and I'll be happy to send the file.

Q. In a portrait of myself and a pet, what is considered the main subject?
A. In such a case, you would count as the main subject, and your pet would count as the secondary main subject, so the item you would order would be a "Couple Portrait" under Portraits of People.

Q. What do you consider to be props and a background?
A. Props would include any kind of equipment, instruments or objects that the subjects might be using, holding or interacting with. Examples might be sports equipment, musical instruments, a bicycle or anything else of this nature. Background would be a specific scene or environment in which the subjects are to be placed. This could be a specific location such as a well know park or monument, or it could be a generic place such as a beach or a mountain.

Q. Do costumes or other clothing cost extra?
A. No, specified costumes or uniforms are a main component in an effective caricature, usually helping to suggest something significant about the personality of the main subject, and therefore, are included at no extra cost.

Q. Can I have text included in my artwork?
A. Text can be included in your art if you like, however, please note that it is sometimes difficult to fit text into art in a manner which does not detract from the aesthetic quality of the overall image. Certainly there are situations where names or other text might be significant and I am happy to add this if you like. Depending on the amount of text, additional charges may apply. Please submit a price request with specific details before ordering to make sure it is something I can accomodate.
